  1. Malo e lelei Vili! This is Matua Peter from the Summer Learning Journey. It is fantastic to see you posting again—your dedication to completing these activities is excellent!

I’d like to share a mīharo (wonderful/amazing) acknowledgement for the creative thought you put into designing Mosha’s prosthetic leg. Using colours to represent the “African Safari” and adding silhouettes of other animals is a very respectful way to honor her habitat and the community that came together to help her.

It was moving to read about how Mosha’s life was changed after her accident at just 7 months old and how people collaborated to create a solution for her.

I want to gently encourage you to keep focusing on adding plenty of detail to your writing. You’ve made a great start by explaining your colour choices; perhaps in your next post, you could tell us more about the “why” behind your design—was there a specific animal silhouette that was your favorite to draw? Also, it is even better to see you are claiming your badges! Displaying your “Kick Start” badge so clearly shows everyone how much you are achieving.

This is another great piece of work, Vili. I’m looking forward to seeing your next creative project!

Thank you for sharing your Summer Learning Journey post. Your prosthetic leg design for the elephant is very creative and thoughtful. I like how you explained how the elephant lost its leg, as it helped me understand the reason for your design. Your post shows creativity, empathy, and care for animals. You did a great job presenting your learning. Keep up the excellent work!
