This Week Our inqury task was to make a DLO about of of the first paleontologist Mary Anning this task was fun because I got to work with good friends and to use my smart searching skills to find out about this person.
Our inquiry task was to make a DLO about 2 types of fossils.We made a DLO about trace fossils and body fossils. This task was so much fun becuase we got to use our smart seacrching skills to find facts about these types of fossils and the part that i loved was when i got to put the fgacts that i find in my own words and to my understanding.
This week our inquiry task was to find about Paleaontologists on who they are and what they do in groups of 4 or 5 and create a 50 word statement to tell you what Paleaontologists are and what they do.I enjoyed this task because I could work with friends and get different jobs to do in the group.
Our task was to make a little video on why Matariki should be a Public holiday.I really loved this task because I can work with friends and we can have our own sayings in the conversation. Matariki is also a time of Celabrating with loved one and a time of reflection for the maori New year.
This week we have a list of tasks that we can do in the school holidays. One of the task was to make a song using song maker. I Really enjoyed this task because we could learn the different beats that we could use to make our song the was the song that I made.
On Wensday my group and I made a Google DLO telling us everything about Whakaari White Island. Whakaari White island is a volcano that erupted in 2019 and killed 90 people. People also said that 90 people died during the eruption because of how much toxic gas the volcano was realeasing.
For our task we made a poem use a noun, adjectives, verbs,4 word noun phrase and synonym. A noun is a named thing or person. A adjectives is describing the noun.Verbs are actions words the you can do. 4 word phrase is 4 words that come together but it is not a full sentence. Synonym is another word for something.

The thing that I enjoyed about this book work was I got to work with friends and share our answers about the word problems and Think about real situations, like sharing candies, buying toys, or running races. Then, turn those situations into questions asking how many candies, toys, or how far someone ran.
Back, far back, in the mists of time when the world was very young there was a massive mountain that was awakened because the dinosaurs woke her from her slumber. As she woke up she was mad.Her rage took over her emotions and was sending so much steam to the surfers. After those earthquakes she sent a big black cloud of ash and gas to the air. All of the dinosaurs ran to find a new home.Then she erupted and sent so much magma to the earth’s surface and scared the other Maunga away to find a new home.
Her rage took over her temper and her character. She was so loud and her other Maunga were just ignoring her and she had enough of this and screamed at the other Maunga and they ran away. She regretted her actions and she was now lonely. She slept to relieve the Irrational from being abandoned by the other Maunga
After her fierce volcanic heart broke she erupted and sent the other animals far far away. But the other animals knew that deep down somewhere in her she had a good heart and they also knew that she was a strong leader and A peace maker throughout the land. She could not control her rage. She was trying to fight her anger but she sent a full blast of the magma to the earth’s land.
Then after her eruption she realized she was alone and she regretted her actions and now she is lonely. But then in the midst of the ash cloud it was the other animals and she said to them please forgive me for my actions. “I am sorry for burning your home” .They replied “Yes we forgive you”
but we suggest that you should get some rest” replied the other animals.After the other animals accepted her apology and forgave her for her actions and they all became good friends.Over time as Mt Maugrei was resting the people of the land were no longer afraid of the fierce Mt Maugrei.
While she was sleeping the world was a peaceful world that lived in harmony. Maungraei’s Rage sleeps at the bottom of her fierce heart that is sleeping but you never know that she could wake up again and make an even bigger magma flow.
I used Adobe Express to help me genarate a image that go’s with my porquoi story. I chose this image because I like to cool backround and becuase it looks like people could live on the island but they might not know what the mountain. I also like this image because if people were to live on the island after the eruption people could live in harmony.

Last week for our Reading task was to create a slide show about volcanso and what we know about volcanos. The thing that I loved about the task was we could talk to each other and ask for some good ideas for the slide show.
