Today was our final lesson for sewing, One thing that I liked about sewing was that I could make it for my loved ones or friends that are close. One thing that I came to that was hard I always put my name on the board so that my sewing teacher knows that I need help with my project and after we are finished with our project we could give our final project we could go to the person that we wrote down from our stockholder and get feedback for them, after we finished with our project we can make little bean bags and with them with either rice or weat. . This is my final project.

Letter to Bruno’s Grandmother.
LI: To vary our sentence length to create pace and impact.
For this writing this week My partner and I was chalenged to use our reading text The Boy In The Striped Pajamas and write a letter from Bruno to his grandmother we were also challenged to write this letter with the vocabulary back in 1942., We have used a lot of simple sentences and compound sentence to help us with with challenge.
I enjoyed this challenge because we made some mistakes and we had to go back and check to see if it made sense, and we also made sure that it looked like a 10 year old wrote it to his own grandmother. Our favourite part of this challenge was that we could use FANBOYS, because it helped us write these sentences with more detail. I also loved that part when we could describe what the new house in Out -With was like.
A simple sentence it a one idea that can stand by its self and it is a good begining to a paragraph.
A Compound sentence is a sentence that needs two simple sentences to make the sentence stand. Which is just two ideas pushed together.
Learning Conversation
We were challenge with 2 question that were connected to the text the Anne Frank and we made a DLO to answer the questions. Something that we always do with these tasks is we show respect for both sides of the story.
Painting The Town
For Reading we read ‘Painting the Town’ by by Renata Hopkins. This text was about how Christchurch has painted murals all over the city to bring back happiness to the city after the 2011 earthquake destroyed 80% of the CBD. My mural shows where I am from and what I identfiy as.
My Book
I used a Gemini Gem to help us add detail to a narrative. Our Gem asked us questions that made us think of different ways we could add detail and description to our narrative. When I finished I used the Storybook feature in Gemini to create an illustrated version. This was a bit harder to do because I had to keep adjusting the prompts to get as close to my original narrative as I could.
Thank You Letter
We read the text Bok Choy for Reading. This text showed us the prejudices that existed towards the Chinese immigrants in early NZ. It also showed us that it is important to show empathy for those who are seen to be different from us. Our challenge after reading this was to write a letter to Ah Sum to thank him properly, as you didn’t have the right words when you were shivering in his hut.
Something I found interesting about the events in this text was that back in those days they did not have what we have now, and their house were made of small rocks and put together to make a little hut for them to live in.
Reverse AI Challenge
We explored Nano Banana, the image creator on Gemini. Our challenge was to use an already created image and our prompts to see how close we could get to the original image.I learnt that we have to make more use of the words that we use and be more specific with our prompts adn to try not to use the same words multipy times.

Summer learning Jounery
LI: To celebrate our success
Last week PBS had their Summer Learning Journey celebration assembly. Mrs Grant came and presented our certificates and prizes. My certificate is for participation. The SLJ was a fun activity to do because it helped us keep our learning going in the holidays. My favouite activty wsa build a bird house because it was a task that we could do by finding things around the house and using them to make a bird house.

Prime & Composite Numbers.
This week in maths, my group and I learned about prime and composite numbers. We practiced how to tell if a number is prime, which only has two factors, or composite, which has more than two. We looked at examples like 43, which is prime because it can only be divided by 1 and itself, and 60, which is composite because it can be divided by many numbers like 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, and 30. Doing this helped me understand how numbers are made and see patterns in their factors. I also feel more confident now in recognising whether numbers are prime or composite, which will help me in future maths problems.
Lowest Common Multiples
Group 2 of LS2 have been learning and some revising on “Lowest Common Multiples” (LCM).
LCM consists of multiplication where you find the number in common between 2 numbers multiplication order. For an example you could use 4 and 7 up to 5 to find the LCM. You times both up to 5 and if there is the same number diagonal from eachother. (4, 8, 12, 16, 20.) and (7, 14, 21, 28, 35) in this case, there is no common multiple up to five. But if you know your four times tables if you add 2 on you can make it to 28, which the 7 times table has making it the answer.
