How To Refine Proumts For AI

Our task was to make a DLO about how to refine prompts for AI,one of the main things you can not do is ask the Ai that your’re usign to write you somthing so you can cope and paste it into your work that is just being lazy the best way to use AI is, if the words that the AI gives you is to hard to understand you can change the words to eg: I am a 10-year-old sutuent that wants to know about the text Jonhnny Pohe and the great escape  so the words could be understand able.

How Do We Honor The Treaty Of Waitangi

1

LI: To make a DLO about the treaty of Waitangi and how we honor the treaty.

We explored the ways we still honour the Treaty of Waitangi today. The Treaty of Waitangi is important because in 1840 it create a agreement and partnership between Maori and British. The British signed the Treaty of Waitangi with Māori chiefs. The British promised to protect Māori rights to their lands and treasures, while in return gaining the right to buy land.  Today it is important because it is the treaty of New Zealand representing the releation ship between the Maori’s and British.

Something I found interesting was that the  Henry Williams and his son Edward translated was able to write the English draft of the treaty into Māori overnight on 4 February.

The Kia Ora Lady.

Dame Naida Glavish is a woman who decided to greet people with “Kia Ora,” a Māori phrase meaning “hello,” instead of the usual English “hello.” By making that simple choice, she sparked a big shift in how New Zealand sees and celebrates its different cultures, especially Māori culture. We think Dame Naida Glavish was someone who started a big change because her small act showed the importance of respecting and using the Māori language, which helped more people recognize and value the country’s indigenous roots. Her action encouraged others to do the same, leading to a stronger awareness and pride in Māori traditions, ultimately changing how New Zealand views and embraces its cultural identity.

What Were They Thinking?

Today for this activity we were challenged to make a DLO about what were the Maori’s and British saying and thinking during the Treaty of Waitangi in the 1840’s. We had to use thought bubbles and speech bubbles and put texts in them to see what me and my partner thought on what the Maori and British were saying in their own language. When I did my DLO I decided to make it cartooned by using Cartoonify AI which means it can make any of your photos animated with many different animated styles to choose from. What we also got to do is design our thought and speech bubbles with light colours and drop shadow behind the thought and speech bubbles so we can see everything.

Life in the Annex

LI: To write a description of life with the Frank family in the annex in 1942.

The Annex was quiet except for our footsteps on the creaking floorboards. Our beds were cramped and the air was filled with dust. We had very basic facilities and not that much food to share. The longer the war went on, the worse the food became. The peeled, rough walls were covered in dull colors so we had very little to look at. Whenever we heard the German people downstairs we would sit in silence, frozen in fear. All of our food supplies were brought by brave people who lived downstairs, covering for us and making sure Germans didn’t get suspicious.Anne Frank was my very interesting friend. Almost everyday she would record all the events in her diary. So that everyone can one day hear what we went through.

We are reading the book ‘Diary of Anne Frank’. Mrs Anderson created a Gemini Gem to prompt us to think more deeply about what life would have been like in the ann.I enjoyed using The Gem because it gave us some feedback and some more deeper Quetions so we could add more to our description It also gave us a writing challeg at the end .

Multiplication

LI: to calculate the product using whole numbers.

For this weeks our focus for maths was multiplication algorithm to find the product(anwser) using algorithm. We answered 15 questions revolving around using multiplication algorithm, Once we had finished, we made a DLO explainging what we did and how we did it, to help people understand adn to learn how to use it. Check out my DLO to see what I have wrote!

Subtraction Algorithm

For this blog post we switch it to subtraction

Just like with addition, you must stack your numbers vertically. The larger number (the one you are starting with) always goes on top. The smaller number (the amount you are taking away) goes on the bottom. Keep your Ones, Tens, and Hundreds in perfectly straight columns. If addition is about “putting together,” subtraction is the art of “taking away.” While it might seem simple, subtracting large numbers can get tricky fast—especially when the top number is smaller than the bottom one!

Addition Algorthms

For our first blog post for Math’s, we did a DLO about Adding with algorithm. To use the algorithm, you must stack your numbers vertically. You have to make sure the Ones stay with the Ones, the Tens stay with the Tens, and so on. If your columns are crooked, your answer will be too! and you will get the wrong answer.

Back To Tech

This week was our very first time back to tech ever since last year. The rotation that I was in was sewing. I really liked sewing because it is a nice place to be if you just want to do something that is calming. our first sewing lesson for this term was getting back into basics with health and safety; we all got our own practice sheets to practice on to get us to get back on track on how to use the sewing machine and also how to be safe with the around the machines. But this time is different because we are making bags, we could make this bag  for some family or friends so that person that you are making the bag for they can  use the bag  for other things like going to the beach or going to the shops but before we could make everything we could write down 4 peoples name to make the bag for then you will chose what designs you will put on the bag for the person that you are making the bag for. Then after the design picking you can start by picking the color of fabric that you will use for the bag.

Agent Of Change

To inspire me to complet my goals I made a vision board. What I want to achieve and the pictures and words I chose will help keep me motivated. I want to tell a great story for 2027! some thing that I liked about this task was that we all got to  think about all of the goals that we want to achieve next year and the years coming.
