This week out task was to make steps on how to make a dinosaur skeleton. My dinosaur was a Parasaurolophus this task was so fun because we got to be creative on what the dinosuar look liked as paper. One thing that I like was that this task was hard.

Once a Pather

We read the text Once a Panther and asked to create a comic strip that depicts a scene related to the ideas of prejudice and  justice This task was fun becuase got put into new reading groups and we got to work with people that have might have not worked with and this was fun to work with more people that we have not worked with.

 

 

Volcano challenge

Our task was to fill up a bag on what we need and what to do in case of a volcano eruption. This was fun task was fun because we got put into group and could work together and talk about the thing that we need and what we don’t need.

Shameful stain on NZ history’: Polynesian Panthers push for dawn raids apology

  • We read the text ‘Shameful stain on NZ history’: Polynesian Panthers push for dawn raids apology and were given the provocation – Should the Government of today(2021) apologise for the dawn raids of yesterday (1970s)? to explore and discuss in our groups.
  • To show our thinking we created a DLO that reflected both sides of this provocation and your opinion. 

 

Dino Egg

  • Our challenge was to become a palaeontologist who uncovered a rare dinosaur egg fossil. We used Adobe Express to reimagine what a real find might look like. After a quick research challenge about habitat we used that information to create our image.
  • My partner and I found the skeleton of a Parasaurolophus which is a a fast dinosaur and the Parasaurolophus is good at blending in with other dinosaurs because they are good at hideing within a group.

Mary Anning DLO

This Week Our inqury task was to make a DLO about of of the first paleontologist Mary Anning this task was fun because I got to work with good friends and to use my smart searching skills to find out about this person.

 

All About Fossils

Our inquiry task was to make a DLO about 2 types of fossils.We made a DLO about trace fossils and body fossils. This task was so much fun becuase we got to use our smart seacrching skills to find facts about these types of fossils and the part that i loved was when i got to put the fgacts that i find in my own words and to my understanding.
